Author Topic: What If Al Jardine Remained in The Beach Boys???  (Read 1072 times)

While I was listening to the Al Jardine Family & Friends live album over the weekend, an odd thought crossed my mind.

What if, after Carl had passed away in 1998, Mike and Al put aside their differences, and Al had stayed with the touring group?

Would a "Beach Boys" band with Mike, Bruce, and Al be more accepted by fans?  Or, would Al be subject to the venom often hurled at Mike and Bruce?

I know the NPP album might not sound as good.

I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but it bothers me more that Al doesn't tour with the Beach Boys than Brian not being with the touring band. For me it has everything to do with Al being on the road all those years with Mike.

In a perfect world, we would have the C50 lineup plus Blondie and Ricky.
