I'm working on a list for 1963, a favourite musical year of mine. This is what I have so far. I'll be adding to it (in this post) from time to time:

"He's So Fine"----The Chiffons
"Easier Said Than Done"----The Essex
"The End Of The World"----Skeeter Davis
"California Sun"----The Rivieras
"Little Latin Lupe Lu"----The Righteous Brothers
"Louie Louie"----The Kingsmen
"Sally Go 'Round The Roses"----The Jaynetts
"Surfin' Bird"----The Trashmen
"Memphis"----Lonnie Mack
"Killer Joe"----The Rocky Fellers
"Denise"----Randy & the Rainbows
"Walk Like A Man"----The Four Seasons
"Surfin' U.S.A."----The Beach Boys
"Da Doo Ron Ron"----The Crystals
"Ruby Baby"----Dion
The Kind Of Boy You Can't Forget----The Raindrops

Ah, very nice. Now that I've already burnt the CDs I'm adding to these lists, especially with youze guys' suggestions. So they're much appreciated. It can be time consuming going back and looking through the years, especially on these things that already consumed mega amounts of time. 1969 and 1973 coming soon.

Edit: Post-post additions to 1972:

Willin' - Little Feat
FDR In Trinidad - Van Dyke Parks

I insist that you add "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed to your list immediately! Cheesy

And, what about the anthems, "School's Out" and "Smoke On The Water"?

"Baby Blue" by Badfinger? police

I first had "Baby Blue" but decided to replace it, I think, I cannot recall, due to the way "Flying" sounds with the over-all sound of the rest of the tracks. I suppose I wouldn't be too out of place having both tracks, huh. And both "School's Out" and "Smoke on the Water" and I may still add them, but I generally don't listen to those songs in a casual manner. I've always, more-or-less, leaned a bit more primarily toward the deeper cuts by artists.
