Not a Trump supporter myself...but then again, you gotta stand up for the guy who apparently rustles the jimmies of politicians in John Bull's Tyranny so hard that they want to keep him off of the playground.

Not sure what rustled jimmies indicate, but I think they are trying to indicate the impact of his sort of thinking by turning it around:
-"The debate was triggered by a public petition launched in the wake of Trump's call to ban Muslims from the U.S., which called on the British parliament to ban Trump from the country for hate speech."
Mainly it seems they just think he's an idiot.

English leftists calling anyone "idiots" is ironic in the extreme.

Not likely to ban him when he visits as head of state. I listened to a bit of this blather, which would have made a good scene in a Fish Called Wanda. I did not know that intolerance and PC-idiocy had so overtaken the previously free people of GB.

Out of a population of 65 million or so, about 600,000 signed the petition. So the vast majority of the population has no problem with Trump visiting or simply doen't care either way.

Trump's rhetoric doesn't bother me; his economic policy DEFINITELY does.

I'm surprised 600,000 signed.
Both his social rhetoric and his policy rhetoric bother me. But mostly the fact that he's transparently unserious about either.

He seems to be tapping into the angry pool of resentment not seen since George Wallace did in 1968. (Mind trump is nowhere near the bigot wallace was)

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Smile Brian - I think Trump is tapping into the national anger with respect to the Benghazi lies, the corruption, the utter incompetence, compromise of national security, and the good old boys networks in both parties. There is a big wake up coming when that movie is soon-released.  The ambassador and those other guys were thrown under the bus.

If Trump is elected, what would the UK do, especially since Trump has created industries that have put people to work?

Would the UK leaders have to come to the US to do government business?

If Wallace and PT Barnum had a child, it would be Donald Trump.
