As far as I know, this has not been circulating among fans and had remained unheard to fans until the Imus performance this month.

It seems like a pretty cool song, and it's good to hear Mike singing in a stronger-voiced way.  It seems to borrow a lot from Robert Palmer's "Addicted To Love"...did anyone else notice that?  It stands pretty well on its own, though.

Good vibes,
Eric

Thanks for the link - - i only heard it the one time in the car, and was hoping to get a chance to hear it again.  My thought upon hearing it - the chorus, anyway, was that it "borrowed" from the song "Footloose!"

Yeah, sounds heavily like "addicted to love".  Catchy song, I like it.  Mike is getting very old.  It makes me sad to hear him sing, he sounds so weak.  He stayed on key most of the song though and towards the middle it approached good, lol.  Band sounded great!

I also hear a little of John Fogerty's "Headlines" in it....

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Yeah... then he'd sign everything "Smith, Mike Smith" and the song would be "Make Smith, not War".  I don't even think I'd want to hear that crap.

Ironic to see the news ticker, mostly about world events, going across the bottom of the screen as he sings this one. This could be the video of the song.

Rule of thumb, think BEFORE you post. And THINK how it may affect someone else's feelings.

Check out the Beach Boys Starline website, the place for pictures of many countries Beach Boys releases on 45.

Listening to you I get the music; Gazing at you I get the heat; Following you I climb the mountain; I get excitement at your feet
Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story

I had the same thought - the juxtaposition of that ticker against what Mike was singing was almost surreal.
