Podcast ~ Researching the Legacy of the Beach Boys

Ian Rustin, co-author with Jon Stebbins of The Beach Boys in Concert: The Complete History of America's Band On Tour and Onstage, brings this exhaustively researched resource to life with the story behind the stories ...

... How he connected the dots of David Marks' mother's tour diaries, college yearbooks, advertisements and reviews in city newspapers, interviews with eyewitnesses who know the real stories of the early days of the Beach Boys career (such as longtime Beach Boys friend and associate Fred Vail) ...

FYI - Just posted an interview with Mark Moore, the author of The Jan & Dean Record.

Outstanding job of research, backstories, analysis ... major focus on Jan Berry & Brian Wilson relationship!
