Of course, December 8th is a somber day in the history of music.  Thirty-five years ago, John Lennon was shot by a deranged fan, and died. 

Sadly, at the time, John had just begun to come back to the music industry after a five year hiatus.  And when he was interviewed on the radio just hours before his demise, he expressed a lot of optimism about the decade to come.  He seemed to be genuinely enjoying life and creating music again. 

John's life was sadly cut too short, as he was only on this Earth for 40 years, but his legacy will last forever.
