Al posts some interesting pics on Facebook. Apparently, BRI lawyers finally caught up with Al in Tokyo: 9 hours and nobody has superimposed Mike in place of the dragon yet.

Thanks, Woodstock for posting the setlist. And, I so hope they add in Sail Away from NPP and Leaving This Town. Thanks again. .

While anything is possible, especially on a long tour like this, it kinda looks like "NPP" material is unlikely apart from "One Kind of Love." They really only have the 18-song first set to mess around with much. The PS and encore sets seem pretty firmly set.

A little more of the NPP gems might find their way in for live promotion as well. Not everyone had a chance to see NPP performed. And with Blondie in the mix, it is another Holland-era gem that might be utilized. We'll see... Often the Smiley board serves as a "request line."

Thanks for posting the setlist!
"Little Honda", cool inclusion. As I often say, it wouldn't be my first pick, but I dig when they're able to change it up more from show to show and over the course of a tour. It's also nice to see that they didn't bump something to add the song, so the first set is up to 19 songs instead of the 18 we've usually had so far.

I always certainly *hope* requests here make it to the BW setlist. I'm curious how independently of fans the band picked stuff like "Funky Pretty" or "Honkin' Down the Highway."
But I'm digging the setlist. 25 of 39 songs are post-1965. Pretty cool.
If anybody from the Brian operation is reading, try "Goin' On!" We haven't heard it live since 1980, and even then it only lasted for a few months and didn't even make it to the 1980 summer tour! Mertens can wail on the sax solo. Cool group vocals. The BW band could knock that one out of the park and it would integrate the 80s (just barely, technically) a little bit!
And let's hear Al do "Lookin' at Tomorrow."

While it wouldn't be my first pick, at least it's different. And they didn't cut anything to add it. Plus, has Brian done it live before? I know they did it on C50. But I think he may have rarely or never done that one. Setlist.fm (which, I know, is far from perfect) doesn't show any BW performances prior to last night.

It was awesome. One of few in the setlist. That's why it was so awesome. The energy was intense. It's a real rocker.

With around 70 shows left in the tour, I'd have to guess we'll get some things coming and going from the setlist. I'd still have to guess something of Al's might get bumped for "Cotton Fields" in May in the UK.
I'd love to see them bump "Don't Worry Baby" and have Matt sing "The Trader." I know Brian probably has legit reasons to not do much Carl material, but it would be nice for someone to give more Carl material (especially the small amount of stuff he wrote) a public airing.

Could not agree less. DWB is as iconic as GVs, Cali Girls and GOKs IMO. Every time I have heard it live since 1978 I have been transported back to the early 60s. Matt nails it this year just like he did when I heard him in the early 90s. Ditch a car song any day to make room for Trader if they must.

I was just thinking more practically; they seem to divvy out leads to non-Brian members and not stray too far from that count. I figured they'd have to rotate out a "Matt lead" to make room for one. "Don't Worry Baby" would not be the first song I would ditch. It wouldn't be the last either. It's a great song; but I don't *have* to hear it, especially as it has been a setlist staple on and off over the years both in the touring BBs and Brian's band. I'd rather hear "The Trader" (or a long list of songs we haven't heard before) than DWB.
