I'll do my best to get to Bristol.

The Colston Hall's website says Al and Blondie are part of the band.

The tickets don't go on sale for 4 more days. Does anyone know if there are any presales?

I'd lay a modest wager they will be, given other overseas dates.

Good. Al was a highlight of the last Brian show I saw, and I've never seen Blondie live. Very excited for this.

I'll be getting tickets for Glasgow, will he literally just do Pet Sounds?

The last Pet Sounds tour here (2002!) started with a chunk of hits and deeper cuts, interval, Pet Sounds, encore.

For the farewell UK tour, a good schedule.

Yep, and that's been the format of all his "full album" shows, whether Smile, That Lucky Old Sun, or Gershwin (though Gershwin started with the album and then had the hits, for some reason).
I'd guess about forty songs in total, a set like http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/brian-wilson/2015/sunrise-theater-fort-pierce-fl-7bf2fa28.html but with Pet Sounds as the second half. What I'm really hoping for is something like the June 2002 setlists -- http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/brian-wilson/2002/carling-apollo-hammersmith-london-england-1bdb8dc8.html , but I suspect the shows will be shorter and more hit-heavy than that.

Kudos to someone too for (seemingly) releasing all the dates simultaneously, instead of piecemeal. Very much appreciated.

I've been to the Strathmore before (which is in North Bethesda Maryland, not DC but digress  LOL)

Small but GREAT acoustics. Perfect venue for Brian.

YESSS!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!

Liverpool and Manchester for me! A really good set of dates and venues. I also second John when I say it's great all the info is out straight away.

On the BW site it has VIP sections for USA and Japan. Do we think it'll be offered before Friday in Europe or not at all? I'd hate to buy  a good seat only to have passed up on  a reserved one with the VIP...

I'm a little surprised by no Chicago date. I wonder if Saturday, October 1, in Chicago may happen (in between Detroit and Minneapolis)Huh

Either way, I'm probably going to hit the September 30 show in Detroit. I'm debating doing the VIP, again.

Ultimate VIP Package is $499 and Includes:
A Premium Reserved Seat in the first 5 Rows
Access to a Meet & Greet with Brian Wilson
Individual Photo with Brian Wilson
Exclusive Soundcheck Experience
Early Entry into the venue
First Access Merch Shopping
One Signed 50th Anniversary Pet Sounds poster
One Signed lead sheet of 'God Only Knows'
One Commemorative VIP Laminate

I know that $500 is a lot of money, but I actually think the value is there. I'm curious why there is no mention of Al or Blondie for the meet & greet and photo??? That could actually be a deciding factor for me.

The nearest show is four hours away from me.  Sad  I'm going to hold out and hope something closer is added.

I'm excited on 2 fronts:  I was hoping to get to the UK in May for a dear friend's birthday anyway, and I know she won't be missing these shows, so I'm hoping (my husband's health and mine willing) to make some of those dates.

Ironically, I was also talking to my musician/Brian fan son-in-law just Sat evening (our belated family Holiday celebration) about Brian's tour this year and saying I kind of thought he'd make it to Kansas City and Omaha.  Don't ask me why - it's been a very long time - but now I have myself and family/friends attending here - probably both places (Omaha shows as Council Bluffs, IA- across the river).

It's all so wonderful.

Many thanks to Brian.

For those anywhere near Kansas City, the Muriel Kauffman Theater doesn't have a bad seat for sound and it is magnificent, as is the building itself and the dining venue there - one of the best views in the city.  I heard Randy Newman there last year with the KC Symphony, and it was sublime, as well as other concerts.  Don't miss it if you can make it at all - a perfect venue - seriously.  Or, if you want cheaper dining. Las Tulles across the street has inexpensive, great Mexican food and Margaritas, so you can't lose...

I guess I would go for San Francisco in October (don't like buying tickets for shows 8-9 months ahead of time; assuming the October dates go on sale this week), but it also looks like there's a big gap in the schedule at the beginning of July where I'd have to assume they'll be adding a Los Angeles area show. So I'm wondering if any other west coast dates will be filled in there. Hrmmmm.....

Any Bay Area folks have any intel on when the SF show might go on sale and/or any other shows in July or October.

I'm hoping for a July date at Ravinia.  I don't believe that Ravinia allows dates to be released until they put out their entire schedule in March (with few exceptions - I know the Tony Bennett/Lady Gaga shows last year were announced early).

What surprises me - no SoCal dates.  But the site does say that more dates will be added.

Updated the tour schedule at the top of the thread as well, of course.

Not sure whether it's safe to say Al and Blondie will be at all gigs. The press release implies this I think, but then the schedule at the bottom of the press release has an asterisk for one show that features Blondie.

The press release says there will be, on Wednesday. There's a presale on the O2 website for the Manchester show, but I've not seen any other presales yet. Oddly the Liverpool show isn't listed by Ents24 and isn't showing on the venue website...

Does everyone really anticipate that all or most of the US dates will go on sale this week? There's little evidence online at all of many of these shows (which make sense since it was just announced), so I'm wondering if especially the September and October dates will go on sale before the end of January.

Really hoping they fill in any more gaps in the schedule as soon as possible. I don't want to snag October tickets if he hits somewhere closer in that big gap between June 20 and July 14 that currently only has two dates scheduled. I would have to assume a few more west coast dates will appear there, including LA and maybe San Diego. He also doesn't have some Midwest areas on there yet like Chicago.

I'm wondering if he's going to hit the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA again in June or July. I'd prefer that to the Masonic in SF I think.

Will try to save for the Manchester show. Fingers crossed there'll still be good tix in a few weeks.

It's a shame the Leeds show from last year wasn't rescheduled but the trip will be worth it for a much nicer and smaller venue.

I'm going to try an catch the show at Red Bank NJ - will be my first Brian Wilson show, I'm very excited.

I can't find ticket prices posted anywhere though, can anyone give me an idea of what General Admition prices might be, or what the cheap seats might go for?

Also, if anyone else is going to the NJ show and wants to meet up, PM me.

I did of course read that in the press release. I'm just curious if they're really going to have a pre-sale up for *every* date on that schedule only 48 hours from now. The shows are not all sold through the same ticketing agencies, etc. Different venues and ticketing websites do different forms of presales, etc.

The press release reads: "Ticket presales begin January 27 with the official onsale January 29 in most markets."

I would think maybe the most far-out dates in September and October might be the strongest candidates for taking a little longer to get up and ready for sales.

Well, I see the usual trolls are out doing their jobs.  In the mean time, the rest of us will be booking our tickets and enjoying the shows.
