What is the date of these recordings with Brian, Bruce, John Stamos and I believe Jeff Foskett among others ?

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Late June or early July, 1990...the Boys were on tour in Canada without Mike, who rejoined them for the Fourth concert in Cape Cod.

1990 was the last time Brian really toured with them. In 1995 and 6 he did three or four shows but not really a tour.

I was at that July 4th show on Cape Cod.  I was 12, and had just started getting really into them.  I remember later being frustrated that I had seen Brian with the Beach Boys and wasn't really aware of the significance, something I would've killed to see in those years following.  Eventually I got a tape of the show, and was amazed that they had done "California" that  that day.

The only thing that sticks out about the show was John Stamos came out front during Surfer Girl and slow danced with someone, who I think was Paula Abdul!

Paula was John's squeeze at the time, and it seems she makes a very brief appearance on the Hotel Tape.
