Not sure what they were doing on my exact day of birth, but I know what they were doing that particular month (January 1974). Blondie was now departed and James William Guercio joined as occasionall bass player and part-time manager. Also, Ricky held a recording session for a song called 'Share Your Love' (unreleased) at Brother Studio.

HEY! WHO LET THE MILLENNIAL IN HERE? Wink Kidding of course. I now don't feel like the baby of the board.

The band had just released "Gotcha Back/Male Ego" the week before my birth.

Here's the other baby of the board : )

july 19, 1996

Checking Bellagio, it looks like the band was probably relaxing between shows.

April 5, 1966

The Beach Boys played at the Palmer Municipal Auditorium in Austin, Texas.

On the same day, Jan & Dean played at the Kiel Opera House in St. Louis, Missouri.

Not sure what happened on the exact day, but Brian was probably learning the last Four Freshmen song and saying, "Mom, make Carl sing arrangements!"

December 20, 1994

According to Bellagio: "Mike & Brian settle the songwriting case, with Mike being awarded $5 million and future royalties on the disputed compositions"

Interesting...

Brian introduced The Little Girl I Once Knew by saying that the first two notes sounded "Chinese," but not to worry because the rest of the song was "American."

On mine there's no action reported, so Al was probably getting some country air; Mike was getting in some TM; Carl and Annie went away for a while; Bruce was busy doing nothin'; Dennis was getting around; Brian went to sleep.

They'd have been in primary school.  It was a Thursday.  Mike likely in grade 5?  Brian and Al in grade 4.  Dennis in Grade 2.  Carl in Kindergarten [which was only 1/2 days back then...so he might have been at home with his Mom] and David...at home period 'cause he was only 3.  The only way any of them would have been Beach Boys would have been when their folks took 'em to the beach.  Well maybe Mike, Brian and Denny could have gone on their bikes?  Not sure how far away from the sea-side they lived.  Al, of course, came from Ohio so what beach?  In January?  No beach.

Mike was 14... Brian, Alan & Bruce were 13 (in Alan's case, by three days)... Dennis was 10... Carl was 8... David was 7. I'm thinking, just being kids.

 LOL

Assuming my abacus hasn't given up on me, Mike was 7 and Brian, Alan and Bruce 5 (and all at junior school, one assumes), Dennis was 3 and Carl was 1.

Per Bellagio, The Beach Boys were not active on Sept 7, 1980, but sessions for the Carl Wilson album were in progress in September.
