The crazy part is that those are Steve Kalinich's lyrics, not Brian's.
I respect what the man did for Dennis and to a lesser extent Brian's material but listening to both this track and his A World of Peace Must Come record...all that comes to mind is eden ahbez. He's like another eden ahbez, although sadly (or not, depending on your viewpoint) without the reputation and snickers from the strange music revivalists.
I really like A World of Peace Must Come. Stevie is a great poet. I think, aside from being a super guy, that the artistic appeal for Brian and Dennis working with him is that he has a way with purity and innocence in his poems and lyrics. "Lucy Jones" is just silly fun.
