There's different opinions from people here- which is to be expected. But how nice it is to imagine all of us singing together, led by Smile Brian and OSD, to this:

Funny you should mention that, I was just having a little fun with that clip to repay Mike Love for his gracious pre-emptive Yuletide spirit strike!

Mike sounds great on this! He's so fucking weird. When he's gone we'll wish we still had him around being weird.

I know. And this Christmas song is not a ML standard by any means. His ass-kicking skills as a singer are proven each time somebody else attempts a ML-led BB song. Those songs are his. Period.

Basically, there ain't no party like a Mike Love party because a Mike Love party don't stop until he does 178 shows or so a year.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Thank you, John Manning.
Hate is not the hallmark of this season.
Personally, I can't deal with Christmas music until after Thanksgiving...
And, then bring on Little St. Nick!

The video emulates the awkwardness of the David Bowie/Bing Crosby duet and takes it to another level of awkwardness. But as for the song itself, it's actually a very sweet rendition, a nice example of how great a singer Mike can be when he puts some effort into it.

Director - "Cut, CUT! It's MIKE Love, okay, not Steven!"
Actress - "Okay, okay got it ... can I write it on my hand?"
