Poor Mike Love is just a "victim of circumstance" as Curly put it. Once all of his critics are in therapy, the world will realize his true genius and properly credit him for exploiting the license for decades. Admittedly this rehabilitation projection is going a lot slower than the History Rewrite Dept. anticipated, but once that Christmas single comes out EVERYTHING WILL CHANGE!
Anyway, thought it was a funny song. Loved the "even though we never wanted to go" line. Spiritualized puts on a helluva live show when they bring the choir, too. Definitely recommended. I'd pass on U2 tho. I'm allergic to The Edge.

Why would you get banned? Smart Girls is completely ridiculous. People mock NPP and all the JT stuff all the time on this board, they still get to regale us with their opinions. Do you feel like you are being stifled somehow? Almost any thread criticizing Mike Love gets a "yeah well if Brian did this..." Or SJS will slither in with some weird resentment about Brian Wilson not getting enough sh*t. He's still here. So what's this bullshit about being banned? They are public figures, they've been mocked and criticized for decades. Love quite a bit more because he scores higher on standardized jerkoff tests. Painful but true. I've seen the numbers. I didn't really think I'd get banned.
The worst I was expecting is some of the barrage of hate that sometimes comes on here when you criticize the work of Brian Wilson. (I've seen some ridiculous things posted over the last six months when somebody says they don't like the No Pier Pressure album).
