lt's not good. He's now in stage six of the seven of Altzheimers. Basically, he can't communicate verbally nor understand what's said to him. He's back at home.

Sadly, this was already in the news last month and as well as mentioned in a General Musiic Discussion thread:

PS: "I'll Be Me" doc on Glen's last tour is now streaming on Netflix.

Poor Glen and his family. As a man who has a lot of people with Alzheimer's in my family (we have a rare genetic early onset form of the disease in our clan), I can tell you from many heartbreaking firsthand experiences just how truly terrible and devastating it is. I hope for Glen's family that these late stages are as short as possible. Though no one wants to say the final goodbye to a loved one, once one gets to that stage, it's truly better when it ends sooner.

Let's remember the great man and musician he always was, though. Glen Campbell will live on.

I saw the farewell tour.   It is very telling of this disease just how it goes to a farewell tour and on to the stage where he now waits for the real farewell......So many of us have friends and family who have been touched by this disease or other age related cognitive decline or dementia.     Hope his going public with his journey into loss of self is inspiring to others dealing with this disease which is just as real and just as final as those diseases that are thought of as more "devastating".    Hoping he and his family will have a merciful finale and peace.
