And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

I can't imagine Brian getting into the rest of their discography, but then again, he DID say he liked new wave music during the 1980s and the Jesus and Mary Chain were an offshoot of that, so who knows?

This is also Mr. Pool's Naughty List. Don't end up on here. It will be updated.

Subject line definitely should have been BW loves a song by the Jesus and Mary Chain.
Though I did own a video by them and was surprised at the amount of imagery which seemed "surf/BB" related or associated in them. But don't ask what they were...been too long since I watched it and no longer own a VCR player.

Is his Kevin Shields quote from years ago still unconfirmed?

Wonder what he'd make of their version of Vega-Table Man. I'd like Brian to take a more Jesus and Mary Chain/My Bloody Valentine approach. Can't see that happening though but imagine how even more awesome Loveless would be with Smile-style vocals.

That's an awesome story. JMAC's first singles and record sound like early Beach Boys, Spector and Velvet Underground thrown in a Cuisinart and blended.
And he's right "Just Like Honey" is a perfect pop song.
