And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

What a conundrum. Puttting the new Mike Love Xmas single on loop play or the new Dylan box?   Happy Dance

I'm still waiting for a take of Visions of Johanna where he gets the name of the game "blind man's buff" right.

I'm really curious about the Like A Rolling Stone sessions. When and how did it evolve from a slow waltz to the relatively past paced song it became?

She's Your Lover Now is a minor masterpiece.  Grin

Happy for ya' Bubbly.  Let the marathon listening sessions begin!

Those 45rpm singles look great.  Is there someplace online where I could get a better look at the fronts and backs?

Thanks.

You know, I'm not actually sure about the singles. I would offer to do some quick scans for you, but I've been relentlessly busy lately. I'll let you know if I find anything.

What's the problem? If he needs it removed, it will be. As you know, there's any amount of stuff regurgitated on the web. It's the nature of the beast. The writer and publication are ALWAYS credited. In this case, we also pointed readers in the direction of his own superb blog (you should read his stuff on Brian and the Boys, if you haven't already). I like to think we've collected some great pieces over the years and all in one place - or at least on artists we like. And we make nothing from it - but a few hundred people (optimistically speaking) who might not have seen the originals have read them.

If you ordered the Collector's Edition, you should now be getting this email....

"Dear Collector,

We hope you are enjoying The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series Volume 12: Collector's Edition. Thanks again for your purchase!

The holidays are coming early for you via a special gift from Columbia Records: 208 tracks encompassing more than ten hours of previously unreleased live Bob Dylan performances from his landmark 1965 tours, including 14 complete concerts – both acoustic and electric - and an array of recordings from television shows, hotel rooms, and other live appearances.

These live performances are being offered as a free download (in 320 Kbps MP3 format) exclusively to purchasers of the Collector's Edition."

 Ahhh!
