For those of you who aren't familiar with him, he was the original trumpeter for the Bar-Kays from 1966-71 and famously played the lead melody on Soul Finger. He was also the only survivor of the plane crash that killed Otis Redding and all of the other Bar-Kays on board (bassist James Alexander was on another flight).

Poor guy. At least he's reunited with his band mates again. RIP.
