"don't generally think of putting music on beforehand.  I did have to get up to switch off Brian's Christmas album though, which was playing already.  It just felt wrong."

Thats hilarious!!!!

Thats why I choose the music up front.
You also have to watch which cd you have loaded on the cd changer that might inadvertantly follow the piece you've chosen.

I've had the experience of grooving on some Miles and the next disc that comes up is Mike Love singing.    Talk about a mood killer!!!!

Maybe we should have a thread on which music NOT to listen to when making love. Grin

What's that line from "Annie Hall"? Something like, "I never listen to music during sex. I keep wanting to sing along."

"Roller Skaing Child" on repeat. That, "Johnny Carson" or "Battle Hymn of the Republic."

Actually, something like Sketches of Spain, or Ellington's Far East Suite. (Isfahan...are you kidding me? Johnny Hodges...)

I can't speak for anyone else, but commenting after the fact about what's likely to go in doesn't mean it's planned ahead of time. If you're cozying up on the couch, why wouldn't you put in some music? And if something happens, it happens. I don't think there's anything sinister or overly calculated about being selective about what music you put in when you're in the mood and romance is in the air.

THIS!

Particularly the track "Sugar and Spice"... for its incredibly sexy lyrics.  Shocked

Well there's love on the menu
You don't know what your missing
Honey, honey make a meal out of me
Take a big bite, or a nibble
Oyster entrei, bon appetit

Won't you never stop, your complaining
Never stop, have a good vintage wine
Every time we go eating out, just desserts, tea and sympathy
And the music plays on and on
The chef gets the bacon for the filet mignon
There's always the waiter, he knows how to cater

Sugar and spice, give me that savoured love
Cheap at the price, give me that flavoured love
Sugar and spice, it tastes so very nice
Love's on the menu, me `n' you

Well there's love on the menu
but you still refuse to listen
2, 4, 6, 8 bog in don't wait
Take a big sip or a small nip
Cappuccino or Burgundy

Won't you never stop your complaining
Never stop, have a good vintage wine
Every time we go eating out, just desserts, tea and sympathy
I'll be the knife if you'll be the fork
I'll try the rump steak if you'll try the pork
There's always the waitress, in her sexy little white dress

Sugar and spice, give me that savoured love
Cheap at the price, give me that flavoured love
Sugar and spice, yeah that's my favourite love
Sugar and spice, give me that flavoured love

Sugar and spice

Oh...

I'm out then. Smiley

I actually only brought it up because the topic starter was called "Sugar and Spice"... and thought it was a marginally funny thing.

Ignore Matt ninnie.

Well, my gf hates pretty much everything I listen to and I what she listens to so... we have the TV on. Tomorrow's weather can be quite a turn on, y'know.
