Here's something interesting( at least it was to me)
Background: Back in May I bought a Beach Boys item described as Fan club photos and Fact Sheet memorabilia ;
Anyway, turned out to be mimeographed pages/blue ink, which I darkened for  the scans  (Some errors in the lists)
BUT,  2nd page has a reference for a movie in which they were soon to appear( The Thread title)      http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061989/

Anyone ever hear about this at the time, or maybe sometime later as their appearance in same being scuttled?

The movie was a 1967 Disney release: to judge from the cast, they were well out of it.

Have to question the inclusion of Mexico in the concert list, and the absence of Austria.

Interestingly it does not mention Mike as a collaborator on songs.

Yes, there are obviously some errors in the lists; tho it does credit Mike with "some" co-writes

It was released in February of 1967. No BB's in it . It was supposed to take place in France. Someone probably confused it with Monkey's Uncle

Problem is, "The Monkey's Uncle" is already in the list...

Despite the imdb ref and the poster above, I wonder if Monkey Go Home (as per the doc) was a proposed sequel to The Monkey's Uncle (itself a sequel of sorts) that never happened? Possibly the greatest cinematic missed opportunity ever, aside from Orson Welles proposed Don Quixote joint.

Surprised to see Carl listed as playing saxophone, and Mike's not on the instrument list at all.

Interesting how most of the guys list Lesley Gore as a favorite singer.

No, never released: the poster is a mockup I made the other day and I was lying when I said it was a 1967 release, and that the band were well out of it.

Seriously, I wouldn't make such a snarky point normally, but my post was just THREE below yours.

I was nine years old when this was released and I never heard of it. Never have seen it on TV in the past, say 48 years. Plus, I was more interested to know if the the Boys were in it or actually had a song in it.

... and my post clearly stated it was released in 1967, I said they were "well out of it"  (i. e. not in it) and the poster made no mention of them. Exactly which part of that didn't you comprehend ? Grin

The "well out of it" part. Not a phrase I used here much, especially for not being on an album. Just misread. I didn't think posing the question again would get me 30 lashes. So be it. Wink
