It's a pretty faithful rendition (we were attempting it for a movie that wanted pretty much the same), but I'd be curious to hear what aficionados like all of yourselves think. It's up at:

I really liked it. I'm glad you stayed faithful to the original production of the song and didn't try to make it "modern." Your harmonies are nice too, I'm actually kind of shocked that someone under 50 would do a cover of an obscure Beach Boys song.

I like it.

Mickey, I don't understand your shock.. I thjink the majority of us here are under 50 and have done obscure Beach Boys covers.

Well, then there should be more Beach Boys covers. I don't think there have been enough.

Nobody covers the Beach Boys because the vocals are so hard to do properly. Anyone can cover a Beatles song but hardly anyone can cover "Our Prayer."

I once heard a recording of schoolchildren doing Our Prayer. It was pretty good, but very odd.

Great job!  I listened to some of the songs on the website, and I really dug "Potato Famine".

Good vibes,

Was it the Boys Choir of Harlem?  They performed it on the TNT All Star Tribute back in '01.

No, this was like untrained elementary school kids. I don't remember where I heard it from, though. They also did "Wouldn't It Be Nice", which didn't sound good at all, because they were all singing the lead.

I always liked The Langley Schools Music Project's versions of BB tunes: "Good Vibrations", "God Only Knows", "In My Room", "I Get Around", "Help Me, Rhonda", "You're So Good To Me", and "Little Deuce Coupe".
