I read somewhere that Al was a shot-putter. Was this just in high school or did he continue to compete during the band's early career?

Did any other band members pursue competitive sports after high school?

Actually the Bearded Brian Wilson has been out of baseball the last couple of seasons. Ours is still in the game.

Does making “egg-in-the-hole” fall under competitive sports?

Brian in '65: "It’s about the only thing I can cook, but it is great. You pinch out the center of a piece of bread, butter it, place it in a frying pan and put a raw egg in the hole. The entire thing cooks together and is very, very tasty."

I was thinking maybe Brian and Mike had an arm-wrestling contest over Smile. Mike won so Smile got scrapped.

There was a magazine interview back around 1978 where Brian says he's thinking about finally going out for major league baseball. I think he was kidding.  I think.  I hope he was kidding.

I have seen that at least a billion times and everytime I see it this happens---
1 Extreme Laughter
