When someone calls you and the word restricted shows up when your phone rings

Hi all,

Let say that we have friends who call us and when they do the word restricted, as in their number shows up, when your phone rings.  Does that mean that person is doing something illegal?  I ask because people I met at Lampy's have called me and when they do the word restricted comes up when they call.  These people run a gift shop at a bus station.  Could they be doing something unlawful there?

if you put *67 before the number you dial it will show up as a restricted call. means caller id is disabled. easiest solution, if you don't know the number of the caller don't answer.
