I'm trying to make the longest possible mix of Heroes And Villains, but I don't wanna repeat much, if anything (I don't want 20 takes of 'dit dit dit, heroes and villains'), so what other Smile bits and pieces were part of Heroes at some point?

I have an idea of where to stick in "Do You like Worms"... wasn't that song a Heroes section too?

I like to put Barnyard and I'm in Great Shape in there as Brian definitely considered them as part of the song when he recorded the demo for Humble Harv (I think that's the guy's name). I also like to put the Swedish frog bit in there as it sounds like farm animals too. Oh yeah, also the western theme and flutter horn bits are good.

The bit that intrigues me is the 'tag to part one' that can be heard on one of the with me tonight versions. I wopnder if that was to feature in H&V.

"Worms" was always a seperate song. Its connection to H&V is based on the "bicycle rider theme" -- which appeared in worms FIRST, and THEN migrated over to H&V.

So no, it doesn't belong IN H&V per se.

The "instrumental section" I presume you're talking about - the clip clop percussion and with the strings opening - is "prelude to fade."

don't forget Swedish frog!
