I was at this show and is to date my fav BW show I've seen.  Have any audio or video recordings surfaced of this?  It's too bad this happened just before it was as simple as taking out your smart phone to record video.  Absolutely incredible show.

And yes, I know this wasn't the first show with Al, but Al's first guesting on a BW solo gig.

I know that there are audience recordings of some shows from that time. I don't know though if there's one of the first (although I'm sure someone would have the idea to record it) show.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Thanks, Rocker.  I've heard some of the other recordings from that tour.  I hope this particular show surfaces someday.

Yeah, that was a great show.  I recorded it on DAT and worked on enhancing the audio shortly thereafter.  Never finished the project, but I've gotta have the unfinished audio file around somewhere, although I've been through a number of computers and hard drives since then, so I'm not real certain exactly where the audio file resides. My recollection is that other audio recordings of this show are in the hands of collectors.
