In that video of WTW/BDN...anyone else notice what looks like a juicy red apple sitting on the drum riser behind Al? Keepin' it clean (and healthy) with Al Jardine indeed!

Wake The World/Busy Doing Nothing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cln9EXPefJg

And THAT is the real McCoy. Now my jaw hit the floor along with Ben Vaughn...  Cheesy

It looks like the person filming this fainted or something when that Bossa beat kicked in.  LOL
I'm just glad he kept rollin'.  A wow moment to be sure.

It's probably the percussion/shaker Al used during the show I saw (during Runaway Dancer for instance).

Aha! A shaker...of course, although I've never seen nor used a shaker that looked like an apple before. Shaker eggs, empty pill bottles filled with dry beans, actual LP brand shakers...never an apple.

And here I thought it was there for Al to snack on between sets.  LOL

Good God , That solo by Blondie is superb (some very weird chords there) and just look at Paul Von Mertens facial expressions to Blondies solo says it all

We used to do 'Vegetables' in the Surfs Up band, and we managed to purchase some shakers shaped as cucumbers and peppers (great laugh)

Love the extended finish. Maybe someone read my post below....

Bring back the jam!

Blondie looked like he was primed to go with his guitar solo during 'Wild Honey' and with Brians band he has the musicians to pull it off.

Its 40 years since the Charles Lloyd/ Carli Munoz days and 1-2 extended songs would make a point of difference between the C50, M&B and Brian's previous tours.

Having watched a few videos from the Greek theater show, I can say that the acoustics at Humphreys in San Diego are much better. (Or perhaps it's just the video quality). Also, Runaway Dancer actually sounds much better without Sebu in the live setting.

Note to future reviewers: The white piano is just a shell holding BW's usual electric keyboard. Try not to make too much of it. A great piece otherwise, though!

Note to LA Times reviewer Randy Lewis: If you thought it was "culminated ruins domino," you're hardly one to chide Sebu about using a teleprompter on DWB.

People who are allowed to change melodies of songs written by Brian Wilson while performing live if they so desire: Brian Wilson.
People who shouldn't be allowed to change melodies of songs written by Brian Wilson while performing live if they so desire: Everyone else (ahem Sebu).

I remember I realized that when I saw them taking it apart between his and Jeff Beck's set on the 2013 tour, I thought that was pretty funny.  But it makes for a cool looking prop nonetheless.
