https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JkhcP-fDfEHere's a nice, brief new rendition of Love & Mercy that came from a music education charity. Brian showed up to sing lead.

Cool video, but is Brian singing underwater or something? Try getting through That's Why God Made the Radio or No Pier Pressure with that awful vocal effect in place.

They did that on all the vocals! It's hideous. Why in hell was that done?!

I read the title as 'Little Kid Rock' and was very disappointed to find no Kid Rock within...

Very cool of Brian to turn up to do that.
The effect used on the vocal is bizarre...

Cool video, but is Brian singing underwater or something? Try getting through That's Why God Made the Radio or No Pier Pressure with that awful vocal effect in place. It doesn't even sound like autotune anymore, more like a Leslie filter. There's no logic for why it's there. Everything else in the arrangement is fairly dry and straightforward.

Maybe Brian was simultaneously singing while gargling with vinegar...? Man, the vocal effect here is just dreadful. I'll take Alborg Jardine on "From There And Back Again" any day of the week!

It sounds like a doubler effect or a chorus. His vocals sound great otherwise!

Ok..........now THAT is a horrible voice effect. Funny thing is, that is what you would think autotune sounds like based on the way people get all bent out of shape when they "hear" it on NPP or TWGMTR.
That vocal needs to be fixed because otherwise that is a cool video and something worth taking a look at.

So cute. Sounds to me like the processing on Brian's voice is nothing more than good old-fashioned ADT.

So cute. Sounds to me like the processing on Brian's voice is nothing more than good old-fashioned ADT. Why would they put a security system on Brian's voice? That would be automatic double-tracking. The same vocal is doubled, with one of the versions delayed by a millisecond or two. Used on a lot of Beatles records.

The same vocal is doubled, with one of the versions delayed by a millisecond or two. Used on a lot of Beatles records. Yet the Beatles didn't sound like they were choking on phlegm on those records. This is awful ADT. Those poor kids - they finally get an opportunity to record with a guy they've never heard of and instead they get Kermit the Frog with a sinus infection.
