1 - he was jealous of their musical/songwriter ability.
2 - when he sold Sea Of Tunes, he believed Brian's music was washed up. But forging Brian's signature on the forms wasn't a nice thing to so.
3 - because Brian gave away his first #1 hit single: to be fair, I wouldn't have been too pleased about that either !
4 - Murry pretty much appointed himself manager back in 1961.
You have to wonder how Murry feels about the fact that the current version of The Beach Boys includes Surf City in their setlist.
You do? The old bastard is too busy pushin' up the daisies to really give a proper poop. Andrew pretty much nailed the answers there 'Surfer'. Ny thoughts?
Murry thought that HE was the musical be-all and end-all in the Wilson household. The boys could, at best, only learn at the feet of his masterful know-how. Not an honest man...he spent most of his adult life lying to himself. Maybe, considering the things Jan Berry taught Brian about using a recording studio...and how much Brian would put those lessons to work for the good of the Beach Boys, Surf City was payback...in advance. Glad that Brian fired him. What a weezil. What a dirt-ball.
