He actually lives in my Home town (Longmont Colorado) and apparently he worked with the Beach Boys..  Sad I never knew a living legend who worked with such great musicians lived in my town...also can someone please tell me which Beach Boys songs he played on?

Sorry to hear of this, hope he pulls through.

What's he played on ? The name rings no bells whatsoever.

Name doesn't ring a bell to me either.  The article says he's lived in Colorado since the '70s; maybe Jimmy Guercio hired him for a session at Caribou Ranch?

Also not to slight his accomplishments, but I guess every local musician that has been part of a house orchestra that was hired to back up the Beach Boys at one of their symphonic shows could claim to have "played with the Beach Boys."

That was my thinking... that or he played on one of Carl's solo albums...

I believe they've played with the Denver Symphony...

The article mentioned that he had also played with Muddy Waters and Bo Diddley.  As opposed to traveling with their own bands, both of them typically played gigs with pickup bands arranged by the promoters in the cities where they played.
