I've been looking for a few pieces to make my own mix, and thought a thread to help connect people to the best current versions of fan mixes that are already out there would be helpful.

Looking for:

- Clean start Old Master Painter/You Are My Sunshine

- Barnyard track/backing vocals/demo vocals sync that goes all the way to through it's fade (NOTE: not talking about False Barnyard, I mean Brian's original mix of the Barnyard track that also fades)

- Vega-tables (Vegetables) with the toy piano insert and backing vocals on the "threw away my candy bar and I ate the wrapper" verse + an echo effect on the "burst into laughter" that matches the mono mix attempts on the first verse + integrated "tripped on a cornucopia" from the demo

- Best quality Great Shape backing track/demo sync (post TSS)

- Do You Like Worms with BWPS vocals for "Waving from the ocean liners ..."  and "Once upon the sandwich isles ..." integrated.

Thanks to anyone who can help connect me with these pieces!

I think my mix of Do You Like Worms isn't bad:

I need to throw in a shout-out for the DJ Mic Luv mix of SMiLE--one of the most creative and different mixes I've ever heard. Very entertaining, and very playable for pure enjoyment (as opposed to "academic study"--though that's enjoyable too, just in a different way.)

I, too, have some unique SMiLE mixes I did over 10 years ago, though there have been too many wonderful edits since, especially as digital tools have improved. (I've got a stereo "Worms" I pieced together entirely from scratch; a "Wind Chimes" that combines the xylo/celesta versions together, along with bits of the Smiley version; a Barnyard suite that includes the pizzicato rehearsal; and a strange medley called "Wonderful to say Mama/Love to say Dada/Child is Father to the Man" which is more of a "conception" track rather than a "concept"! Better than my [admittedly primitive for the time] mixes, is the imitation Capitol 16-page CD booklet I did for the album, complete with fake Brian liner notes, a la the two-fer series.) Let me know if you're interested, and I'll see what I can do...

OK, Niles!

Just located my old files--from 2001! I've got a little conversion/cleanup to do to make it more user-friendly, but I should have a link for you in the next day or so.

I'm (re) discovering that I did a lot more mixing than I'd remembered--a nice stereo one of He Gives Speeches, a nice one of Vege-tables, and more...

Stay tuned!

OK gang--here's a link to my 2001 Onksmix SMiLE. As mentioned before...this is OLD! Mistakes in liner notes! Mixes made prior to BWPS/TSS! (And made before having better editing software!) Booklet made early in my design career! (I see all kinds of things I would do differently...)

Regardless: I hope it's at least a little bit fun for you all. I only ever made 2 copies of this back then...now it's yours, for what it's worth.
