"The Honeys actually formed after sisters Marilyn and Diane Rovell saw the Beach Boys perform..."

Actually, they weren't: The Rovell Sisters had been performing together for years. Also, "Raindrops" is produced by Nik Venet.  Smiley

Were they performing as the Honeys up to that point, or as the Rovell Sisters?  (thinking they didn't become the Honeys until they recruited Ginger and recorded with BW)

The term Honeys referred to surfer's girlfriends was used in Surfin Safari where the Rovells took the name from.  So yeah the Honeys came after the Beach Boys.

That picture comes from the Smile era, right? I've never seen this particular shot before. Thanks for the link!

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

That late? Cool! I always thought it was from '66/'67.
