I heard The Beach Boys Vegetables and Wonderful from 1993 New York in the MiC set.  I was wondering, is there any other pieces of SMiLE recorded live from the Beach Boys?  If anyone could direct me to a thread or give me an answer that would be great.  Thank you.   Smiley

There's a medley of "Wonderful" and a Flames song called "Wonderbill" that they used to play live. It's on Endless Harmony.

A live version of "Heroes & Villains" is included on the Beach Boys in Concert. There's also a live version of "Good Vibrations" on there.

I don't think there's an official released version, but they played "Surf's Up" frequently in the early 70s.

As far as I know, they never really performed any Smile songs live, other than the very occasional and rare performances of H&V, Surf's Up, Vegetables, and Wonderful. Here's a few from the late 60's, early 70's that managed their way onto Youtube.

Surf's Up - Princeton University, 11/13/1971

Surf's Up - Tampa, 4/12/1974

H&V - Central Park, 6/2/1971

H&V - Honolulu, 8/25/1967 (Brian on lead)

Um... think you'll find that "H&V" was a setlist staple from the mid 70s to 1998. Thus hardly very occasional or rare.

Also, there's this song called "Good Vibrations"...

The Flame song is actually called "Don't Worry, Bill". Wonderbill was Mike's idea of a corny joke.

Thanks - those were great! Smiley era stuff was in the setlist, and Carl's lead on Surfs Up is stupendous!

It's early, but here it is!  Beer
