Yeah, that's what I'm asking - what tunes were covered in the sessions as a whole, both released and unreleased, and who were the original artists?

Dion had SOUL.  Elvis didn't.

No. Smokey Joe is an outtake, but I am not sure if the Unsurpassed Masters set, which is 4 discs worth of tunes and chatter, is the complete sessions.

Old Man  Hey you!!!  Sorry.  I 'like' a good portion of Elvis' body of work.  Love a few of the tunes...and ignore the rest.  I have maybe 10 Elvis cds...so it's not like I've tossed him out with the garbage here.  I know he was important.  He was obviously successful. [especially with the female fans]  I just preferred a lot of other performers from the era.  Fats D. kicks his ever-lovin' butt.  Richard Penniman out-rocked him.  Chuck Berry left him in a trail of dust when it came to composition.  And Dion?  Dion Dimucci was just way more versatile...and believeable...FOR MY ears and tastes.

Buy heh now...My ears are pretty good I'd say.  I AM a Beach Boys fan...and have been for 52 years this coming May.  I also like Bob Marley about as much. Cool Guy

Doesn't Mike quote Sonny Bono's 'Laugh At Me?'

It seemed to me that Mike was impersonating Sonny Bono doing Bob Dylan.

That's the one. Sonny sounds a lot like Dylan anyway----great record, as it happens:
