That's really sad. R.I.P.
I always loved the sound of the Crickets. Jerry Allison's drumming is so cool.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

RIP. I absolutely love The Crickets, so sad to lose another '50s era musician.

Actually, I'm thinking it should be in a special "In Memory "section  where all the "rip" threads can go.

The time has come for a smileysmile.net/board "Obits" page.

most people probably won't recognize his name, although being a 'Cricket'

was a massive contribution to the early white rock'n'roll music scene.

love Buddy!, and love Joe B and J I also....

rock on Joe B!!

White Rock n Roll ? Rock & Roll was about breaking down color barriers. It's all one art!
If he was great --which any member of the Crickets, was -- then he shouldn't need any qualifiers.
Especially one small as race.
