Wow, I'd love to see that, too - both 5th Street & the alley.
I actually have the gold record that Dennis placed in plexiglass at the alley entrance!

Are you looking for a current or old photo?  Wikipedia has one taken in the 70s.  Google maps has a current one.

Most definitely wouldn't; building was razed years ago

If you click on the picture it gives you a much larger image.  Google maps does have current image, of the parking lot as Ed said. I'm not familiar enough with the old building, so I wasn't sure if the similar looking building next store was it or not.

Wow, I'd love to see that, too - both 5th Street & the alley.
I actually have the gold record that Dennis placed in plexiglass at the alley entrance!

A Surfin' U.S.A. gold record embedded in cement next to the back door. I stepped on it!

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

I took the Wiki picture back in the 70's with my Kodak instamatic went in and had a mini-tour. It's the only picture I've ever seen of the joint. I captured history!

Do you have a better quality copy than the one on Wikipedia you can share with us?

If some kind soul will tell me how to include images in my posts, I have a few pictures I'd like to share. I've clicked on the "Insert Image" icon but don't know where to go from there. (Yes I'm Dumb)

You might 1st upload them online; image shack, flickr, there are tons of sites. But you better go with tinypic.com, the fastest way. It will give you instructions & you don't have to click on the picture icon below the "I" figure. Good to help.
