I'd never heard that half-done version of She Belongs To Me before, and in its small way I think it was a missed opportunity. When the bass kicks in, you can hear that it could have been worked into a nicely unironic Party! track, in the folk-pop Dylan cover tradition of The Turtles' It Ain't Me Babe - in contrast to The Times They Are a-Changin', which would have struck most contemporary listeners as the BBs unwisely taking the piss out of their betters, at a time when they were already starting to struggle with the changing dimensions of hipness.
