Caribou Ranch Auction

Now's your chance to send in your $$ ( $35 USA, $50 International) to get the full color commemorative catalogue of the items to be available for sale at the January 24,2015 auction of Caribou Ranch; a few BBs pics( with others; Chicago, Zappa, Michael J) are on the site.
OR check out the items in person( Denver CO), the week prior to the auction
>>
The sale of memorabilia from the Caribou Ranch collection offers a rare opportunity for music fans to access the music, instruments and memorabilia of the studio, but even more unique is the opportunity to acquire the quality, rustic items used daily by artists on the ranch, which remind us that at times, everyone, even a music legend, just needs to “get away.” <<

Nice shot of Dennis in the studio.

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Many of the pictures from Caribou are in the 1974 Beach Boys concert program. Don't remember seeing the ones of Dennis and Carl above though. I use to have those same Sennheiser headphones that Dennis is wearing. Excellent! The way Dennis hit those skins, it's surprising those lamps on the walls were still there......

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Got to be fake. The Beach Boys didn't play on their own records remember.

Or that the sprinkler above his head didn't go off.
Lovely deep (Ludwig) snare.

Lovely deep (Ludwig) snare.
History would suggest the sprinklers never went off (a little fire that did or didn't destroy some tapes).
Interesting to see how they miked the kit, as well.
On page 2 of the photos; David Hasselhoff cut his recording artist teeth here?
