Billy Hinsche & Brian too.

Sure wish he was still with us to celebrate his 70th birthday today. I'm toasting one up to him this evening when I get home.

Happy Birthday, Dennis! Smiley

Thanks, bgas, it's right here, on my Dennis page, but I'll copy it below:

https://www.facebook.com/roachclips68

(btw, a really nice painting of Dennis there from Walter Egan, too)

Stumbling upon all of these tribute videos to Dennis as we round the hours into what would have been his 70th birthday... Hard to believe on so many levels; hard to accept how many years he's been out of my life, after being so significant in my life for so many years. Also crazy to think of how things would have been were he still here, & we were rolling into his 70th... here's to ya', brother!

Al Jardine posted the following lovely message on his Facebook along with a video of Dennis performing "Forever" at Central Park in 1971:

"I'd like to honor Dennis Wilson and my brother, Neal Jardine, who share the same birthday today. These two influenced my life in very different, but incredible ways. My brother helped inspired me by paving the way for me to succeed in my secondary education. He set an example for me simply by being there. It's always nice to have a senior classman brother to look out after you in the proving grounds of High School. His friends were my friends and I took great comfort in that. Dennis welcomed me back into the band after I left to finish my undergrad work. I felt I had to finish what I started, and he supported that. He was a free spirit and took no guff from anyone. He was a 'straight shooter' and you better get out of the way when he started shooting. He wasn't always right, but I liked that. I'd rather know how I stand with someone, than not.
Happy Birthday guys, Al."

Is it weird to miss someone whom you never met? If so I guess I'm weird. Damn Dennis would be 70. The world definitely lost the coolest motherfu**er.

A belated Happy Birthday to Dennis from me! Wow, it's mind-staggering to think that he'd be 70 if he's still alive...
