http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01mx1mp
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01n0v52

Does anyone have a copy of these two BBC programs?  I heard them when they first aired but neglected to save them permanently.  They were narrated by Harry Shearer and are a great summation of the BBs history.

Thanks in advance, feel free to PM.

Is this the programme that aired before and after the Beach Boys concert in 2012 they broadcasted?

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

It aired after the concert, and then the 2nd part was the following week.

Allright. But I remember it. I believe they had new interviews and used some of the doc that aired in the mid-70s (which in itself was/is a fantastic programme). I don't remember what exactly but there was one error in the new interviews that wasn't corrected. Haven't listened to it in a long time (probably since 2012) but that sticks out in my memory and that Al Jardine mentioned Carl Perkins. Bless his heart.

Thanks for responding everyone.  If anyone does happen to have one or both parts of this, could you maybe put it up on a share site?

That's awesome.  Any chance you could upload them to a share site like Rapidshare or something?  If it would help anyone...I have a few rare BBC Beach Boys programs myself.

The Beach Boys Story (1974 BBC Radio Documentary)
The Record Producers: Brian Wilson (BBC Documentary Series)
Classic Albums: Pet Sounds (BBC Documentary)
The First Time With...Brian Wilson (BBC interview program)

I don't think links like that are allowed... are they? There was a reason I PM'd them... I might be wrong though.
