Not only has he copped The Lovester's name, he copped his beard.

I can't help but think they'd look almost exactly the same had our Mike chosen reggae over going bald and being a Beach Boy.

My guess is no.

But in other Beach Boy related news, Stig O'Hara (Ricky Fataar) did once sue himself accidentally.

I thought that Stig has been dead for ages, honestly. All these years later, I'm still trying to get rid of this damn water buffalo!

Technically Mike could sue Mike if Brother Records raised an action against the touring Beach Boys for breach of the license terms! Grin

Quite right; but as Mike has been the instigator in the previous lawsuits, what are the odds he's going to sue himself?

Al has sued himself, so Mike might eventually get around to it.

I can see Mike giving a triumphant interview on the courthouse steps about an incredibly successful lawsuit against himself AND the reggae Mike Love. A nice suit on with a free baseball cap that says Fort Lauderdale on it or something. Elegant.

Or maybe his DJ at a Bat Mitzvah outfit.

on reggae love, it has to infuriate Mike that if you put "Mike Love" into youtube it spits out that guy first! He never even met The Beatles in India!

Just look at him, running the Beach Boys like a corporate kleptocracy.

He probably think's Brian's a fool for doing that charity single  Grin

I do recall in the 80s that John Fogerty was sued for plagiarizing a song that he wrote!

If it ever goes to court the whole case could be settled with a dance-off. Lawyer produces a microphone stand and a boombox, presses play, and "Fun Fun Fun" starts playing in court. The authentic Mike Love would impulsively jump forward, start doing the chicken dance, the "Hawthorne Strut", wink and point at various jury members, then for the clincher break into the classic "microphone stand as steering wheel" routine. Case closed.

No, but one night on the road, he got a little drunk and took advantage of himself.
On that, night, they say he grew up to be a man.
