I'm still plugging away at the last 2/3 of my SMiLE recreation, but thought I'd post an early mix of Wonderful. This isn't what's going to wind up on Suite 2 (I've got something a little more "out there" in the works), but I like this version too much not to release it.

Hope you enjoy!

That is one of the best Beach Boy covers I've ever heard!

The vocals, mix, instrumentals, all top notch. Is that a real harpsichord? Or MIDI? Either way, sounds really good. Glad to see you're still working on the Smile suites!

Hey man, that song is not easy to sing, and you pulled it off flawlessly. Great work!

Thanks so much for the kind words, guys! This was actually the tune that set off my SMiLE project way back in 2008 I couldn't figure out where to stop my cover due to the segue into Song for Children, and it all kind of took off from there. I recorded the vocals over the course of 2 years in 3 different homes, and spliced the best takes together--hopefully it sounds like one performance Smiley To answer your question rab, it's a soundfont based on samples from a real harpsichord. I love how it sounds--when and if I wrap up the whole SMiLE project, I may go back and replace the H&V/DYLW harpsichord parts with it.

Splendid work, egon! It's been on a spin for weeks & counting. It is almost identical, but there are many moments of your own. I'll be saving it for my special Smilers' mix worth of only top stuff. Thanks for sharing! 3D
