Been posting here a bit, haven't made a thread here yet. Lurked here a bit when I recently went through a phase of getting really obsessed with Smile, and I missed posting on message boards, so here I am.

I'm 22 and I'm from around Edmonton, Canada (don't live in the city, but spend most of my free time there). The Beatles had always been one of my favourite bands since I started getting really serious about music (so, when I was like 12), and I decided to look for similar stuff at one point, and I ended up finding and falling in love with Pet Sounds when I was in high school. For a while I mostly just stuck with that, Sunflower, and I dug The Smile Sessions but wasn't too into it. It's only been within the last couple months that I realized just how incredible Smile is (it very well might be my favourite "album") and how great their whole run from '65-'71 is.

Hi, Little Pad, and welcome! I'm sure there'll be plenty to occupy you here. Lots of frighteningly erudite types if you have any questions. (But first check out AGD's website----http://www.esquarterly.com/bellagio/----plenty of answers there.) There's always lots happening on this MB----never a dull moment, you might say. ;=)

Ever want to hear some Beach Boys songs mashed up together like The Beatles' 'LOVE' album? Check out my mix!

Welcome Little Pad,  Glad that young folks are exploring the music of The Beach Boys.  It holds up pretty well.
Enjoy your time here, this is a great place to learn about and discuss other music too - look around.  see you on the boards, Will
