Looking around, found this pic online ( from a magazine) being attributed to Brian's Home studio. Any verification here?

Is the Wiki article (and its usage of said photo) verified though?

This looks like one of the David Dalton photos from the "Sunflower" sessions. Those were definitely from Brian's home studio.

That is indeed the home studio circa 1969/70. Pic by David Dalton. There are more in the booklet of the excellent Caroline, Now ! CD.

Thanxx. Guess I should have known that? Are the Dalton pics available somewhere? As to the Wiki pic, it would appear to be the one I posted from the magazine, albeit with the caption cut-off.

looks tiny and crowded. If his wife lets him put a sandbox and tent in the living room why limit the size of the studio?

The Sunflower era photos of Brian's home studio are not uncommon...they have been around for a good while. I think the ESQ issue devoted to Sunflower has a few, as do some other other various Beach Boys articles and books. of course I can't produce any at this moment, but trust me, you'll recognize them when you see them.

This photo was included in the November 2002 edition of Mojo as part of an article about Dennis Wilson.

That picture would have made a great album cover. (Thanks Metal Flake Paint for the answer to my question)

This photo was taken in the fall. Looking into the west corner of the studio. The photo shows about 10% of the studio's floor space. The rest of the studio is set up for a horn date. Dennis is looking at his covered drum set while holding on to an upended harpsichord. Other items are just pilled around looking disheveled. Carl is conferring with Brian about the overdub he is adding. Mike is standing on a riser in front of his pal Bruce holding a bass, who is obscured. Everyone was shoved into this corner so as not to disturb the pending date with horns. This kind of thing was not uncommon -- a last minute idea with no time to make the area ordered . . . and frankly it has no effect on the performance or sound.
A lot of studio detail will be forthcoming, but there have been some setbacks including my hard drive crashing. More later. ~SWD
