Came across a great site today that has many downloadable books on The Beach Boys and surf music in general. Prices seemed pretty reasonable as well.

SJMcP has been a leading BB/Surf researcher & author for, oh, since last millennium. All his stuff is well worth reading and at these prices (they're Australian dollars, of course), why, what are you waiting for ?  Grin

Stephen's books are great books. His primary focus is Gary Usher whom it appears was a good frind of SMP.

Yes.  it sets the whole proposition up very well.  As a native 5th-generation Californian, although not living there since 2003, and a lover/reader of history, it really adds to the story. The Beach Boys did not arrive out of a vacuum.
