Over the past couple years, my friend and I have been writing music together somewhat aimlessly and sporadically. We finally decided that the time was right to try and make something of our music and thus, since this past April through July we had been in the process of recording our debut EP. It was mainly recorded at home, but significant portions were also recorded in our dorm rooms as well as Jenson-Noble Hall of Music at Luther College (where we go to school). We are very excited to announce the release of our self-titled debut EP on August 8th in both digital formats for download and CD – both free of charge.
With all that being said, here’s the music video for the first single “We Were Young” off of the EP. Our friend from school played tenor saxophone on this song. Robert did the lead vocals, I did all of the harmony vocals and played all the instruments (besides saxophone). We hope you enjoy what we’ve been cooking up, and please stay tuned for the release of our debut EP on August 8th – there’s plenty more to come

Thanks so much for listening!  Give our Facebook page a like if you dig what you hear!

I think the Brian Wilson influence definitely comes through with that saxophone part in the song  Cool

Luther College, eh? I plan to listen now primarily because I went there as a high schooler for the Dorian music festivals they held (we're talking early to mid 90s). I recall skipping out after the first rehearsal and blowing off the entirety of it from then on, enjoying the concert I was supposed to be a part of from the lobby, sitting beneath the hanging coats. Mass choir festivals, nobody notices...

I'll let you know what I think.

Beautiful. I look forward to hearing more. Are you playing anywhere? (I'm in Minneapolis, too.)

The album art is pretty and nice song.

Cool you guys are from Luther. I've been to Decorah once. Don't go Christian on us. Wink

Thanks for the comments guys!  Glad you dig it.  And nice to hear from some people familiar with Luther.  The Dorian music festival is always lovely, but man there's too many people on campus that weekend!  Decorah's a cool place, I love it there!  (And Gabo, don't worry about us going Christian haha)

The EP comes out tomorrow!  Citypages (Minneapolis newspaper) featured our video and did a little write up on us here:

Nice to get some press!  Shocked

i wish i made a full blown project like this in college. i always just did bedroom recording with no outside assistance or interference. to my disadvantage

part of me wishes some of your songs were shorter. im one of those people who like short and concise recordings. you guys like to build your tracks over a long period, and that's cool too. that's a more contemporary approach.

Hey all,

Things have been going well for us so far.  We've been getting some press here in the Twin Cities as well as some radio airplay.  We just put together a brand new music video for our song "Fourth Street", a good friend of ours played all of the wonderful cello parts on this song.  Enjoy!
