Anyone get into Arthur Lyman's compositions via Pet Sounds?
It was amazing when I stumbled upon the connection.

Definitely.

Here is a great thread on the influence that Martin Denny had on Pet Sounds:

After I read that thread I started getting into a lot of exotica music.

If Brian did get any influence from Lyman, it definitely showed up in Smile (Love To Say Dada, Holidays especially*).

*very loose influence, but Brian sure did seem to love that marimba/xylophone-esque sound

God must’ve smiled the day Brian Wilson was born!

Ever want to hear some Beach Boys songs mashed up together like The Beatles' 'LOVE' album? Check out my mix!

Yeah, I def. also hear it on Pet Sounds. Definitely the percussion as well. Let's Go Away For A While is a good example of the marimba/xylophone stylings.

Definitely.
