This is a rough mix of an old song of mine (spring '01), mostly recorded last year, with vocals re-recorded by me (instead of my old band's singer) yesterday. I'm also debating adding big vocal harmonies to the end, but am not sure if that would ruin it or not. Any suggestions? (Forgive the count-in and dead space at the end...as I said, it's the rough, working mix.)

I'd appreciate feedback.

It's a ballad called "You Cut Off Your Nose."

Luther,

Just finished listening 2 or 3 times to your song, and it is a nice, rolling 2 minutes. I hear the work that went into it. It is a pleasant enough listen, and you should be commended on the creativity in the mix. If I were to venture a criticism, it would be that the harmony voices are too dry for my taste, and could use a bit more reverb to wet them up, and give them some space. Of course, that's the way I hear it, and I am working hard to find any fault at all. It's a really good job. I enjoyed the listens...

Good song, nice feel, the organ bits kind of give me the vibe of 'A day in the life of a tree'. No extra vocals would ruin it in my book, but then harmonies are always a big plus in my book. Guitars sound sound very nice, it has a good warm sound to it overall.
