The Beach Boys IMO are a "meat and potatoes band." The productions, compositions, and performances are perfect but their lyrics lack the creativity of other great 60s artists like The Beatles and VU

And I'm a hungry MoFo.

Besides, that song's not really about the words as much as it is about the singing. He's expressive, emotive, and really gets the point across.
Now, if you had said "Birthday"...
It's all good, I only responded to Niko's comment on Beatles lyrics, he didn't discuss the singing.
Agree about "Birthday", corny words (& annoying kid-voiced Yoko & Patti back-up).

Short notice: the cat you see to the left is the best. Not counting your indoor cat who might have habit sitting at your left side when you post at SmileySmile.

Who is Lucille Ball & Vivian Vance Duet Fan Club CEO? Btw, such Club exists?

Zany zealous Zeddie eats broccoli at brunch break but doesn't do's & don't's due to duties.

Yeah I should have clarified, in my original comment, I meant Pet Sounds had lyrics on par with any *good* Beatles lyric.
