Thou Art In Hawthorne,
Harmonied Be Thy name
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Steak Well Done,
On Stage As It Is In Studio,
Give Us This Day, Our Shortenin' Bread
And Forgive Us Our Bootlegs,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Wife And Managers,
And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.

Happy birthday. I was honored and humbled to be at Brian's 70th birthday "party" (with a few thousand other people) two years ago at Montreal's Bell Centre for the C50 concert that night.

From Carnie's twitter (she also mentioned making him lasagna for his party):

I checked out Brian's hashtag on Instagram, and there was a brief video message of thanks he apparently texted to someone who sent him birthday wishes. Brian looks so old and vulnerable in it (I think his choice to comb his hair back accentuates his aging, because his hairline is finally starting to recede a little). It was sort of moving.  Happy birthday to him!

Looking fine for a 72 y.o., he just seems a little tired here.

Ha!  I just clicked the video, and had to turn my internet radio off (classic Rock station) to listen to Brian.  Watched it, then turned the radio back on, and they instantly started playing "Surfin' USA"!

I don't think people like Brian can possibly understand or even comprehend the effect they've had on the world.  Literally 10's of millions or even 100's of millions of human beings around the world have heard that song they just played on my radio.  If you're above 15 or so and breathing you likely have heard of his band or can even name a few songs.  None of those songs ever pissed anybody off, or made anybody's day worse, they always uplifted, inspired, or just made people smile.  CRAZY vibes this guy has shared with the world just because he decided to.  Can't give him enough respect, he's a King among men.

Thanks for the link.  Must have been a thrill for the cat who got it.  I didn't think he looked tired, seemed happy.  Are you supposed to be quick, or can you talk as long as you like?  Sure he was getting a lot of attention.  Maybe waiting for that extra piece of cake?  God Bless Brian.  I hope he is with us for many years to come.

Instagram videos are limited to a few seconds in length. The guy who received the video was apparently a tour guide for Brian and his family when they went to Disneyland some time ago. Very nice for Brian to take time to do that, the guy who got it must have been thrilled.

Forgot about this special date - Happy Birthday, Brian! Live until 90+, keep making music, we, fans, crave for more! Hopefully, your sweet son Dylan will follow your step. He was good at conducting the Silent Night home studio session. Be healthy!
