Maybe all Smiley boarders can club together and buy the place (if Bgas hasn't already added it to his collection?). Grin

Nope, everybody knows that it's either Jim Murphy or Lee Dempsey.

I'll bet if you schmoozed him a little bit, Mike would be the coolest neighbor, evar.  You can tell he's one of those types that is really fun to be around as long as you're not TOO close too him or around him too much.

So if his house is for sale, this must mean that Mike is moving. I will take a guess that his new home with be Aruba, Jamaica, Bermuda, Bahama, or ...no, it's gotta be Kokomo! LOL

For that level of contribution, the rest of us might let you lick the driveway clean once a year!  $10 lets you trim the hedge…

Isn't his nephew Jonah also in high-end real estate now? Both Jonah and Marilyn are in the LA area. I'm sure it's with a Carmel area agent. I'm surprised it hasn't sold after being on the market multiple times.  Maybe Carmel isn't a hot market with the foreign investors and tech crowd like so much of the upper end real estate markets around the US.

Hmm...back in the '90s (that is, back in the days when I lived about five miles away in an apartment on the outskirts of Pacific Grove) a property like this would have sold pretty quickly. In those days there were a lot of very wealthy Japanese businessmen and a lot of them were golf-crazy enough that a place almost within walking distance of the Pebble Beach course would be a very useful investment. Not least for the money to be made subletting it while they had work to do in Tokyo.

But those boom times are pretty distant now, and your average Shanghai multimillionaire in these times is less likely to be a golfer.  So indeed it may be a spell before Mike can find a buyer and it may be for a bit less than the current asking price.

Looks like somebody bought it in October?

Either that or there was a pending sale that fell through, and then he took it off the market?

There's no article on it being sold in the Zillow Celebrity Real Estate blog, so I'm guessing the pending sale fell through and he took it off the market?

Either that, or Mike's house just isn't important enough for Zillow to devote more than one article to. Smiley

Man...what a surprise!!!  Shocked  Mike's home here reminds me a LOT of my old house that I lived in in Toronto.  It's almost 'spooky' the similarities.  I mean I had the EXACT same ADT sign right out in front of my house.

And I wonder, as well, in terms of BOTH homes...Huh  What the heck was/is the piano for?  Razz

Sounds like Mike's lyrical prowess wore off on Robin Leach.
