Another great one gone. Keays was the frontman of one of the great Australian bands of the 60's and early 70's, the Masters Apprentices. Some of their most famous songs included "Turn Up The Radio" and "It's Because I Love You". Their bassist notably went on to manage Little River Band and John Farnham.

He had suffered cancer of the bone marrow (Myeloma) in the last few years, which eventually led to kidney failure. But it was pneumonia that took his life this morning.

He will be greatly missed. R.I.P.

You are a death hag.

Not really, no. Show some respect for the late singer

Sad news, certainly. I must confess I'd never heard of The Angels----or The Master Apprentices, for that matter. Makes you wonder how many other good Australian bands never broke through internationally in a major way.

I intended no disrespect to the late singer.
I think Rei meant to say " show some respect for the late singer". Makes sense that it goes after the negative sentence.
